Detect
Tater looks for combinations of scam signals — urgency, impersonation, payment pressure, suspicious links, and more. It is designed for real messages, not lab demos.
How Tater works
Detect → Explain → Slow → Verify → Ask Someone → Act Safely → Recover. Tater is built around decisions, not dashboards.
Tater looks for combinations of scam signals — urgency, impersonation, payment pressure, suspicious links, and more. It is designed for real messages, not lab demos.
Tater explains concerns in plain English. Example: “This message is asking you to act urgently, contact an unverified phone number, and provide financial information.”
Warnings appear at the moment of action — before clicking, replying, downloading attachments, or calling a suspicious number. Sensitive-send protection is part of Tater Family early access.
Tater recommends safe replacement actions: open the official bank app directly, call the number on the back of your card, contact a vendor through a known number, or ask HR through an internal channel.
Free Tater includes Tell Someone — a privacy-safe summary you can share. Guardian alerts and Ask My Guardian are part of Tater Family early access.
If you already clicked, replied, paid, or shared information, Tater provides calm next steps. Guided Recovery Mode with family support is early access.
Free Tater helps spot risky emails. Paid Tater helps make sure nobody handles risky decisions alone.
